As a rule, wear one statement piece, not several at once. A strapless or sweetheart neckline has room for a necklace; a high or detailed neckline usually looks best with earrings alone. If you’re also wearing a headpiece, let it carry the visual weight and keep the jewellery simple — a comb or hair vine and a statement necklace together tend to compete rather than complement.
